The Enlightenment and the Napoleonic Era
Section IV illustrates the many changes of the 18th/19th century. The characters of the French Revolution and the events of the Napoleonic era are presented, with particular attention to the emperor’s rise to power and the meticulous description of the soldiers, officers, and generals of his army as well as those who fought him. This section ends with the prized model that reproduces the Battle of Champaubert (1814) in which a large number of Tuscans enlisted to defend Bonaparte’s France.
